About Us: Local Expertise with a Personal Touch

Welcome to Colorado Asbestos Inspections, LLC. When you hire us, you aren’t getting a faceless corporation or a revolving door of technicians—you’re getting a dedicated local expert committed to your safety.

Meet Jim: Your Lead Inspector

Hi, I’m Jim. I’ve called Colorado home since 1998, though my roots go back to upstate New York. My journey into the asbestos industry began in 2008 under high-stakes circumstances. I spent the early part of my career working on a FEMA project in Cedar Rapids following the historic Iowa Flood of 2008. That experience taught me the critical importance of proper environmental testing and the impact it has on the health and safety of a community.

In 2012, I decided to bring that high-level expertise back home to the Front Range and started this business.

An "Army of One" for the Denver Metro

I intentionally operate as a "small, local, army of one." Why? Because it allows me to provide a level of consistency and integrity that larger firms often struggle to match. When you call, you talk to me. When an inspection is performed, I’m the one on-site.

Colorado Asbestos Inspections, LLC was built on the foundation of being a conflict-free provider. I specialize exclusively in testing and inspections—not removal. This means you can trust that my findings are 100% unbiased, as I have no financial interest in whether your project requires abatement or not.

Life Beyond the Inspection

While I am passionate about environmental safety and helping Denver residents navigate Colorado Regulation 8, I also believe in enjoying everything this great state has to offer.

When I’m not in the field, you can usually find me:

  • Spending quality time with my longtime girlfriend, Emily.

  • Playing guitar or catching a live show at one of our local concert venues.

  • Enjoying the Colorado outdoors with friends.

  • Relaxing at home with my 20lb Ragdoll cat, Oscar.

Why Work With Me?

My goal is to make the asbestos testing process as simple and stress-free as possible. I understand that a "positive" result can be overwhelming, and I am here to provide the clear, permit-ready documentation and honest advice you need to move forward confidently.
