About Us: Local Expertise with a Personal Touch

Welcome to Colorado Asbestos Inspections, LLC. When you hire me, you aren't getting a faceless corporation or a revolving door of technicians—you're getting a dedicated local expert committed to your safety. In an industry often clouded by sales pressure, I operate as a Neutral Advisor, providing the unbiased data you need to protect your home and your health.

Meet Jim: Your Lead Inspector

Hi, I'm Jim. I've called Colorado home since 1998. My journey into the asbestos industry began in 2008 under high-stakes circumstances, working on a FEMA project in Cedar Rapids following the historic Iowa Flood. That experience taught me that environmental testing isn't just about paperwork; it’s about the long-term health of a community.

In 2012, I brought that high-level expertise back home to the Front Range to provide a better alternative for Colorado homeowners.

The "Army of One" Advantage

I intentionally operate as a "small, local, army of one." While larger firms focus on high-volume scheduling, I focus on high-stakes accuracy.

  • Direct Accountability: When you call, you talk to me. When an inspection is performed, I’m the one on-site. You get the benefit of 15+ years of experience on every job, not a junior technician.

  • Conflict-Free Results: Colorado Asbestos Inspections was built on the foundation of being a testing-only provider. I specialize exclusively in inspections—not removal. Because I don't perform abatement, I have zero financial interest in whether your samples are positive or negative. My only loyalty is to the lab data.

  • Neutral Guidance: Whether you are navigating Colorado Regulation 8 for a permit or simply want peace of mind for your family, I provide the "Neutral Advisor" perspective—helping you balance legal requirements with your personal comfort level.

Life Beyond the Inspection

While I am passionate about environmental safety and helping Denver residents navigate Colorado Regulation 8, I also believe in enjoying everything this great state has to offer.

When I’m not in the field, you can usually find me:

  • Spending quality time with my longtime girlfriend, Emily.

  • Playing guitar or catching a live show at one of our local concert venues.

  • Enjoying the Colorado outdoors with friends.

  • Relaxing at home with my 20lb Ragdoll cat, Oscar.

Why Work With Me?

My goal is to make the asbestos testing process as simple and stress-free as possible. I understand that a "positive" result can be overwhelming, and I am here to provide the clear, permit-ready documentation and honest advice you need to move forward confidently.
